James Kirkland

Founder, Co-owner

I’m a retired U.S. Army disabled veteran, current law enforcement officer, and proud American patriot. With over two decades of combined military and civilian service, I’ve dedicated my life to protecting others and standing up for what’s right.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Counterterrorism, which fuels my deep understanding of safety, security, and the importance of responsible firearm ownership.

Above all, I’m a husband, father, and dog dad who believes in faith, family, and freedom. Co-owning Old Liberty Armory allows me to continue serving my community—this time by equipping others with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to protect what matters most.

Lauren Kirkland

Co-owner

I’m a U.S. Navy disabled veteran, a Registered Nurse for over 16 years, and a firm believer in the healing power of health, travel, and freedom. With a Master’s degree in Nursing, I’ve spent my career caring for others, while also building businesses that reflect my passion for wellness, adventure, and empowering women.

In addition to co-owning Old Liberty Armory, I’m a health and wellness consultant and the have my own business helping others become healthier. I’m also a travel advisor and magical vacation planner—specializing in memory-making, pixie dust, and helping families experience the magic of travel.

But my favorite titles? Mommy, & wife. I’m a proud Disney-obsessed, muggle-born chaos coordinator. I run on Fizz, Bluey, women’s rights, faith, and just the right amount of caffeine and sparkle.
